Hello friends and Happy New Year! I hope your year is off to a great start.  2017 was a pretty good year for me, but I’m definitely looking forward to this fresh new start. So far January has been crazy. We started a remodeling project in our home, and I’m also starting my weight loss journey. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this year will be even better than the last!

This month’s theme is “Game Face”. This is everything that came in the bag.

Every month Ipsy includes a small insert telling a little about that month’s theme.

It says “I will conquer” and it has a blank space that you can enter something that you want to conquer. What a motivational way to start out 2018!

As for this months bag, I actually like it. It is a pretty blue mesh sporty-looking bag with neon yellow and pink . It definitely fits in with the sporty theme. It would be great to use at the beach.

The first product I got was  Cake by Cake Beauty, a Heavy Cream Intensive Body Balm.

This cream has a wonderful vanilla scent. It is also super thick. So thick that you can barely get it out of the tube. I placed a pea size amount on my dry hands. You can see how far just a small amount will go. It’s amazing!!!

Look at the difference!!! It moisturizes great and lasts for hours. I do love the way my skin feels after I use it. I’ve been using this mostly on my hands and legs, and it has really helped hydrate and smooth my skin. It does have a slight greasy feel to it, but it’s not too bad. Overall, it works great and does what it says.

Next up, I got this CIATÉ LONDON (Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner). I really liked the intense pigment of this eyeliner. It’s very easy to apply with the chisel tip design. It’s smudge-proof and has a high gloss finish.

It goes on smooth and dries quickly, but it does start cracking up over time.

Third, I got this Kokie Professional Kissable Liquid Lipstick. I received the Desire color. It glides on nicely and dries into a soft, kissable matte.

Now you can pucker up because this lipstick is transfer-proof, and not sticky. Finally  found a lipstick my husband won’t complain about.

Fourth, I got this  EMMA V.S.N.P. in Mia is My BFF. This polish is fast drying and long-wearing – it can last up to 7 days – and it’s crack and chip-resistant.

It is a gorgeous, vibrant, purple. I seriously can’t get over how beautiful it is. It’s not runny either.

Lastly, I received this PURLISSE BEAUTY (Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliate). This mud mask is made with tons of wonderful  ingredients used in ancient Chinese beauty rituals that claim to brighten, detoxify, and gently cleanse your skin. You can use this mask on your face, as well as your neck and chest. It has a great fragrance and doesn’t cause any  dryness or redness after use. I have used it a few times and noticed my face looking more lively. It is a little hard to remove when rinsing.

That sums up this month’s bag! What was your favorite item in your glam bag this month? Thank you for reading everyone. If you enjoyed this post please leave a comment below and remember to follow me here and on Instagram!
